India Vs England 3rd Test Day 1 Cricket Highlights August 25, 2021

England VS India Day 1 Test Match- Result

A horror day for India. And what a reversal for England after Lord’s. They’ve bounced back in stunning fashion after that defeat and put themselves in a great position to get back in the series. It proved an excellent toss to lose in the morning as India were found wanting against the moving ball having opted to bat. James Anderson was superb in an opening spell that went on for eight overs, and he didn’t even need to come back on again as the visitors folded spectacularly after lunch. India’s innings was littered with poor shots with a lot of them playing away from the body and nicking off. Their bowlers haven’t been great either, although the pitch definitely eased out as the day went on. As a result, England have put on 120/0 on the board without looking in a lot of discomfort. This Indian team has pulled off the improbable on quite a few occasions recently. They did it at Sydney, they did it at the Gabba, they did it at Lord’s. So you’d be cautious to rule them out already. But it’s a long, long way ahead if they are to come back from here. That’s all from us for today. Goodbye!
