SIX! Steve O'Keefe to Mohammad Nabi. Quicker length ball, outside off stump down the track driving, well timed in the air under control over deep extra cover for 6 runs. Melbourne Renegades have coasted to a seven wicket victory over Sydney Sixers at the SCG with seven overs remaining. The total made by the hosts in the first innings always looked a little light and Tom Cooper confirmed that by coming out and blazing his way to an aggressive 49 in quick time. From there the men in red just needed the finishing touches putting on what was a calm chase to boost their NRR after the massive loss in Geelong. The match probably would've been over a lot sooner if not for the swashbuckling knock of Tom Curran for the Sixers, however it was still in vain as the men in magenta leaked regular boundaries with the ball. In contrast, the visitors were superb with the ball and made expert use of inconsistent bounce, with Kane Richardson's 26-3 and Mohammad Nabi's 26-3 the pick of the bowling. The BBL returns tomorrow in Brisbane with the Heat hosting the Thunder.

OUT! Caught. Steve O'Keefe to Sam Harper. Quicker length ball, outside off stump moves in front slog sweeping, in the air uncontrolled to fine leg, by Dwarshuis. Harper looks to finish things with on big hit however he's picked out the fielder perfectly. The young right-hander struck that really nicely, he's gutted to see it settle into the hands of Dwarshuis.

SIX! Steve O'Keefe to Cameron White. Stock length ball, outside off stump down the track driving, well timed in the air under control over deep extra cover for 6 runs. White wants to get this finished in a hurry. He isn't quite to the pitch of this delivery but goes through with the shot anyway because he's hitting towards the short boundary.

OUT! Bowled. Steve O'Keefe to Tom Cooper. Stock length ball, outside off stump down the track driving, missed to. Lovely bowling, O'Keefe grabs a consolation wicket for the Sixers. Cooper can't finish the job, however he's put his team in a position from which victory is almost certain. The left-arm spinner just slowed this up a touch to deceive the Renegades skipper.

OUT! L.B.W. Mohammad Nabi to Tom Curran. Quicker ball yorker, to leg on the front foot flick, hit pad to. Sydney Sixers have limped their way to 9-115 at the SCG after a tame batting effort against Melbourne Renegades. Tom Curran was the only man to get going on a pitch displaying signs of inconsistent bounce. The English all-rounder blasted three maximums late in the innings to give the hosts a glimmer of hope. The visitors were largely excellent in the field and with the ball. Kane Richardson made use of the tricky surface to snare 9-115 and Mohammad Nabi chipped in at the death with 9-115. They will be confident of succeeding in the chase, however it won't be simple with a few demons in the pitch.

OUT! Caught. Mohammad Nabi to Sean Abbott. Off break length ball, down leg side on the front foot reverse sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to short third man, by Boyce. Abbott looking to get inventive and he's just chipped it tamely straight to a fielder. Cross-batted shots are very risky on this wicket due to the inconsistent bounce and it's caused another false stroke here. Easy catch for Boyce, accepted gleefully.

OUT! Bowled. Mohammad Nabi to Josh Philippe. Off break length ball, to leg moves in front sweeping, missed to. Oh dear, Philippe has given it away after a promising start as things go from bad to worse for the Sixers. OUT! Caught. Kane Richardson to Jordan Silk. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, top edge in the air uncontrolled to third man, by Boyce. Disaster for Sydney Sixers. SIX! Daniel Christian to Josh Philippe. Length ball, outside off stump moves in front flick, well timed in the air under control over deep backward square leg for 6 runs. That's more like it, Philippe adds some much needed momentum to this innings with an audacious whip over the legside. Harris does his best to parry the ball back into play but it sticks in his hand and drops over the other side of the rope. The home support enjoyed that.

OUT! Caught. Daniel Christian to Jack Edwards. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot flick, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to short mid wicket, by White. White makes amends the very next delivery, that will be a huge relief to the veteran. Edwards was looking to manufacture a shot that wasn't quite on and popped a simple chance into the legside. The Sixers are really struggling at the SCG, wickets are tumbling and runs are hard to come by.

FOUR! Sean Abbott to Tom Cooper. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past long on for 4 runs. That's a much better shot, the full face of the blade flowing through the ball to send it sailing back over the bowler's head.

FOUR! Sean Abbott to Tom Cooper. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot flick, in the air under control past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Not the cleanest strike in the world but Cooper won't mind too much as he gets off the mark with a boundary.
