Malik infused momentum to the innings when he smashed Bopara for 24 runs in the 14th over. The skipper was going strong and had got the asking rate to achievable heights, but the two left-arm pacers Amir and Shinwari bowled exceptionally well under pressure to secure a win for Karachi. The former ended up with a 4 and bowled the crucial penultimate over in which he gave away only 4 runs and got the wickets of Afridi and Hammad.
